One pet. One photo. The Bad Times performance.
A Bad Times AI video makes a dog or cat lip-sync Imael Angel’s “Bad Times” while arguing with the camera, following the original performance by @bouuhyachaka. Add one pet photo: the tool prepares an opening frame in your photo’s setting, then follows the original clip’s movement and timing.
Make my pet’s videoThe Bad Times / Imael Angel trend relies on an expressive mouth, raised paws and a sudden move toward the camera. A sharp face alone is not enough: the model also needs clues about the pet’s body. This page takes one dog or cat photo; no prompt or second photo is needed.
Original performance: @bouuhyachaka on TikTokFace the pet toward the camera or at a slight angle. Keep both eyes, the nose, muzzle, chest and front legs in frame. JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB; a larger original is more useful than an enlarged screenshot.
Avoid a hand covering the face, a tiny pet in a wide scene, several animals, deep shadow or a heavy filter. A short muzzle and long fur can be harder to animate. These are checks you make yourself, not an automatic photo-quality score.
First, an opening frame puts your pet upright in the place shown in your photo. A tight portrait gets a plausible extension of its background. The original human performance guides gestures, mouth movements and camera timing; its performer and kitchen are not copied. Identity and anatomy may still drift.
Explore these Bad Times videos. Your photo may produce a different result. Watch a turn or close-up before choosing what looks convincing to you.
Follow the front paws as the dog leans toward the lens; compare the muzzle before and after the move. This example is not the clip sent to the model.
Watch whether the eye markings stay attached to the face during head turns, and whether the mouth closes between phrases.
Look at the front paws and shoulder shape. Small animals make changes in limb length easier to notice.
Compare the face at a distance and near the camera. This longer example is a reference only; this tool makes up to 30 seconds.
Choose a dog or cat photo with a clear muzzle, chest and front legs. Confirm that you have permission to use it.
Start with 10 seconds at 720p, or choose Mini at 480p for the lowest credit cost. Only Seedance 2.5 can make the 30-second opening. Check the exact credit quote before generating.
Sign in and generate. The tool first prepares the opening frame, then generates the performance from that frame, your photo and the original reference. Inspect the face, paws and mouth timing with sound on before downloading. The original reference soundtrack is included; this is not the full 58-second performance.
| What you see | What to check | What to change |
|---|---|---|
| Human fingers or extra limbs | Hidden front legs or a hand in the photo leaves the body ambiguous. | Use a photo with visible front legs and no person holding the pet. The preset asks for animal paws, but cannot guarantee anatomy. |
| Eyes or muzzle change shape | A tiny face, heavy shadows or a very different angle gives less identity detail. | Try an evenly lit original with the face turned toward the camera. Inspect a shorter clip before paying for a longer one. |
| Mouth movement misses the beat | Generated motion can differ from the reference even when the audio starts correctly. | Listen to the downloaded MP4. If you add platform music, align its starting point and avoid two overlapping audio tracks. No model guarantees frame-perfect lip-sync. |
Every row is the current charge for one finished video, including opening-frame preparation and the soundtrack. The default is Seedance 2.5, 10 seconds, 720p. Each new generation uses credits; a failed task refunds its charge.

Download the MP4 directly instead of screen-recording it or forwarding it through a messaging app. This tool exports 9:16: 480 × 854 at 480p, 720 × 1280 at 720p, or 1080 × 1920 at 1080p. A higher tier cannot recover detail missing from the source photo or fix warped paws.
Keep the original file, upload on a stable connection and check the platform’s current upload-quality options. A platform may recompress the file; compare the local download with the published post to locate the loss.
The soundtrack follows the reference and is not a music licence. Before posting, check that you may use the photo, reference performance and song for your intended use. Use platform-licensed audio where appropriate; it does not automatically cover ads or every platform.
Use this pet preset for the raised paws, lean-in and argument with the camera. The original performance guides body and camera movement; an opening frame keeps the pet in the setting from your photo. Identity and anatomy can still drift.
A talking-photo workflow usually animates a portrait around speech or music. It can suit a singing face, but does not by itself reproduce this whole-body Bad Times video.
An editing template can arrange your clips, cuts and sound. Check its preview: adding a pet photo to a layout is different from generating a new pet performance.
This preset needs no written prompt and asks for animal paws and a consistent muzzle. Start with visible front legs and no human hand in the photo. In an editor that accepts your own instructions, try: “Keep the cat’s front paws and muzzle; follow the head turns and camera timing.” Wording can help, but cannot guarantee correct anatomy.
Replace the photo before increasing resolution. Use a larger, evenly lit face with both eyes and the muzzle visible, then try a short clip. Resolution changes the output size; it does not repair missing identity clues.
Compare the downloaded MP4 with the post. If the file is already soft, a low-detail photo or generation may be responsible. If only the post is soft, use the original download, avoid a messaging-app copy and check upload-quality settings. Platform recompression is outside this tool’s control.
Here, an opening frame places your pet in the setting from your photo. The original human performance guides body gestures, mouth movements and camera timing. A face-focused talking-photo workflow animates a portrait and may not include the paw gestures or camera approach that make this trend recognizable.
Generation runs on the server, so the phone does not need to render the AI video. Use a browser that can upload the supported file and play an MP4. An old phone can still provide a good original photo; a blurred or heavily compressed photo remains a poor identity reference. Export HEIC photos as JPG first.
Look for a floating face, changing fur markings or a body that no longer fits the head. A tight face crop, beauty filter or very different pose can make the replacement harder. Try a natural photo showing more of the body, then review the motion before deciding whether to generate again.
Download the original vertical MP4. 720p is 720 × 1280; 1080p is 1080 × 1920 and is available with Seedance 2.5 or MiniMax H3. Mini offers 480p and 720p. Choose the tier before generation, keep the soundtrack aligned, and inspect the saved file before uploading.
